The parade itself will depart from Pitchcroft at 3pm on Saturday 6th July 2019, following the traditional 1.7 mile route around Croft Road, Dolday, Deansway, College Street, City Walls Road, Pump Street, High Street, the Cross, Foregate Street, and Castle Street before returning to the Carnival Village at Pitchcroft, with rolling road closures to allow people to enjoy a safe and happy day. We estimate that the Parade will finish at Pitchcroft around 5pm.
There will be something for everyone at the Carnival Village on Pitchcroft with the junior football tournament, a sports demonstration area, fairground rides, an inflatable village, market stalls with local charities, crafts, food and drink, and a full day of live entertainment on the main stage.
These details are also in the souvenir brochures which are now out and circulating – available free from Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club, the Tourist Information Centre, and many local businesses and community groups, as well as from our volunteers on Carnival Day.
Update: Please note there have been some alterations to the layout at Carnival Village due to the aftermath of the recent flooding. The site map below has been updated. More information on this can be found here.
