There are several ways you can be a part of Worcester Carnival in 2024 and beyond…
Below are some of the ways you could be involved in making this fantastic event happen for the people of Worcester. Links will be added to each section as and when applications are open.

Join the Parade
The parade is the highlight of Carnival Day. The parade is made up of a mix of floats on lorries and walking groups, with all sorts of wild and wonderful arts and entertainment between. In 2023, we had over 30 different groups take part including schools, community groups, businesses, dancers, street-entertainers, and costumed characters.
We set off from Pitchcroft at 3pm and follow a 1.7 mile route around Castle Street, Foregate Street, the Cross, High Street, Pump Street, City Walls Road, College Street, Deansway, Bridge Street, North Parade and Croft Road before returning to the Carnival Village at Pitchcroft around 5pm with rolling road closures to allow people to enjoy a safe and happy day.
Don’t worry if you’ve never taken part in anything like this before – we have an experienced committee who will give you guidance on what to do.
To start with we need some essential info to get to know you and get you signed up. This will only take a couple of minutes. Once this is done we’ll be in touch to guide you through anything else we need to ensure that your participation is fun and safe.
Volunteer
Worcester Carnival is our city’s biggest outdoor event, free to every resident and visitor.
Volunteering is a great way to contribute to making Worcester Carnival fun and safe, to help make Worcester a fantastic place to live and work, and to put smiles on people’s faces.
In return, you can learn skills, grow confidence, make friends, and of course get an enormous sense of pride from all the kudos!
There’s lots to be done. You could be delivering leaflets, handing out brochures, answering questions from the public, collecting money for our nominated charities, stewarding or marshalling the route, to name but a few essentials. You’ve probably got some amazing skills we haven’t even thought of that will make Carnival even better.
It’s not crucial that you have volunteered before but it’s really helpful to know a bit about you so we can allocate roles.
We’ll need some essential details from you to get started. Once you’ve done that we’ll be in touch soon. Any data you give us will be kept confidential and only used for the purpose of staging Worcester Carnival.

Stallholders
Thousands of visitors flock to Carnival Village on Pitchcroft racecourse. Throughout the day from 11am to 7pm we have a main stage providing live music and dance, a retro funfair and sports activities attracting the whole family.
You’ll get to trade throughout the day and sell your local artisan food, drink or crafts or showcase the amazing work your charity or organisation does in our community.
There will be space for 3×3 gazebos, market-stalls and catering vehicles. If you’re not sure which space you’ll need get in touch with us on corporate@worcester-carnival.co.uk and we’ll work with you to find a solution.
