Well, firstly a huge congratulations to England for making it this far! Hopefully Saturday will be a day of double celebration for fans of both football and Carnival.
Worcester Carnival parade starts at Pitchcroft at 3pm and in expected to return to Pitchcroft by 5pm.
Based on previous years’ experiences, the parade tends to finish a little early and we say 5pm to give us plenty of safety leeway.
Months of planning has gone into the parade and we know thousands of people are excited to be taking part and watching. We do still expect significant numbers of crowds who don’t follow football to be watching the later half of the parade and free live entertainment afterwards.
In fact, I would recommend that if you’re not intending to watch the football then the carnival parade’s “return leg” through Deansway and Croft Road would be an ideal spot to enjoy the spectacle on its riverside setting. Some areas like The Cross get very crowded so you will hopefully get a better view into the bargain.
